Whether you are a weekend warrior or a daily trainer, a runner who likes short and speedy runs, or a runner who is in for the long haul; Chattanooga has a run for you. Here are a couple of running events that will challenge you regardless of your running goals.

Saturday, July 26, 6:00AM
That\’s right, this Meet Up run is not for the weak of heart or the uncommitted. Meet up with a group of runners who will be running the first 22 miles of the Wild Trails Race Series Lookout Mountain 50 miler which takes place in December. There\’s no time like the present to set goals for the future. Tomorrow\’s run is scheduled to take about 3.5 hours. If you don\’t want to run the entire run, feel free to run an out-and-back.

Saturday, July 26, 6:00PM
Not interested in running half of a 50-miler? Meet at Enterprise South Nature Park for a training run for the Wild Trails Race Series Still Hollow 10K & Half Marathon. Enjoy a 6-13 mile run (dependent upon group size).

Saturday or Sunday, anytime.
Not interested in a group run? No worries! Chattanooga is known for its extensive network of trails. Not sure where to run? Again, not an issue—head over to RootsRated to find the best trail for the amount of time you have and the level of difficulty you\’re interested in tackling. Don\’t forget to let someone know you\’re heading out on a run.

Running is a great way to stay in shape and enjoy the outdoors, but don\’t forget—it\’s summer and it\’s hot! Make sure you prepare for your runs with water to hydrate, clothing to protect from the sun, and sufficient bug protection. We\’ll see you on the trails!
