Race Cut Off Time Extended for Scenic City Trail Marathon!

The Scenic City Trail Marathon and Half Marathon is coming up fast! The gorgeous views and well packed trails on Raccoon Mountain in Chattanooga, TN make this one of the premier Spring trail races in the Southeast United States. This year the marathon course has been adjusted to include a few more challenging features of this great trail system that we know you\’re going to love.

To give everyone time to enjoy this race and taking into account the new course, the finishing cut off time has been extended to 6.5 hours. That means with a start time of 8:00am EST for both races, marathoners now have until 2:30pm EST to finish within regulation. There\’s a lot of excitement about this race but if you haven\’t signed up yet, there is still room. Register directly through UltraSignup and check the race page for all the race information.

200 Mile Club Celebration & Partners

If you haven\’t heard about the 200 Mile Club yet, it\’s a movement to encourage healthy lifestyles in our community through long term fitness choices. Along with building and maintaining the trails around the Chattanooga area, Wild Trails believes strongly in encouraging the people of our city (friends, family, neighbors…EVERYONE) to get active and enjoy all the natural spaces our area has to offer. Since January 2016 so many people in our area have been on the move logging their miles toward that 200 mile goal.

On Sunday, April 10th, 2016 we all came together at Lula Lake Land Trust to celebrate as a group with the Nature Calls 5K & 15K trail race and cookout afterwards. It was so great to see friends and families celebrating their accomplishments together! Each quarter we will celebrate the 200 Mile Club participants with the Nature Calls 5K & 15K so mark your calendars now for the next celebration on July 10th, 2016.
