City Trail Chattanooga 30K & 10K
2017 Race Canceled
Due to Gociety’s unexpected cancellation of their Adventure Fest Chattanooga event we are forced to cancel this year’s City Trail Chattanooga race. This is extremely frustrating and we apologize to all participants. The City Trail race is always such a unique racing experience. Those who have signed up will receive an email with details on their options.
Join us for a new running concept…the City Trail Chattanooga race–a hybrid trail and road running event. This year’s City Trail Chattanooga race will undoubtedly go down as an “urban epic” running experience. This course will not only test you with the fitness challenges that you would expect from Wild Trails, but you will also get an inside look at some of our city’s beautiful historic features.
Gociety Adventure Fest
New for 2017, the City Trail Chattanooga race will be a part of Gociety’s Adventure Fest in Chattanooga! This will be a day filled with learning, demos, brews and good times as Gociety brings adventure to the city. Whether you’re an athlete or outdoor enthusiast, you’ll want to be in Coolidge Park on May 27th. You can find tickets to just Gociety’s Adventure Fest in Chattanooga at their website OR sign up for the City Trail Chattanooga race to experience it all!
This City Trail concept is to maximize running off roads as much as possible and to learn to run safely in the city, in concert with the vehicles. Unlike road races, the City Trail races are not on the roads but rather in the alleys, on sidewalks, stairs, parks and as much dirt as we can find in the city. This also means that the course is open and the cars will not stop for you. It is your responsibility to navigate this course safely on your own. You will not see many police and, other than the few blocks to start the race, there will be no road closures. Do not run in the roads and when crossing the roads, look both ways…just like your parents taught you.
ALL participants must carry some form of hydration: hydration pack, hand-held water bottle, waist belt, or a water bottle from the local gas station duct taped to your hand.
Date: Saturday, May 27, 2017
Start Time: Both races start at 10:30am EST
Cost: 30K $65 ($75 after April 22), 10K $45 ($55 after April 22)
