More money raised at the Lookout Mountain 50 Mile Trail Race are headed back to our treasured local trails.

Wild Trails recently gifted $1,000 in proceeds to the Chattanooga Arboretum and Nature Center. During the December race, runners enjoyed approximately 7 miles of the Nature Center\’s Reflection Riding trails. They also benefited from the second aid station, which was planted right next to the gentle, flora-and-fauna-filled Lookout Creek.

In addition to the 50 Miler, Wild Trails hosts several regular group runs on the Nature Center\’s property. Wild Trails also plays an active roll in maintaining their 9+ miles of trails.

The next race in the Wild Trails series is the River Gorge Trail Race on March 22. Consider coming out to see Chattanooga\’s beautiful wilderness — and know that when you register, you\’re helping to preserve those same trails!
