Upon review of this event and the willingness of the Tennessee Park Ranger Associations to assist staff at South Cumberland in order to facilitate the event. Park Management has determine to work with organizers and the Tennessee Park Ranger Association to hold the Savage Gulf Marathon. Tennessee State Parks appreciates South Cumberland State Parks desire to preserve and protect it unique natural resources, while working with the public to enjoy the natural beauty of this park while participating in the Savage Gulf Marathon.
