Chattanooga Times Free Press columnist David Cook recognized the work of the Southeast Youth Corps this week, in a piece called \”How to Build a Trail.\”
It\’s a metaphor for setting youngsters on a path to dignity, happiness and fulfillment. The SYC just hosted the 2014 Golden Cairn Awards, which recognize the individuals and organizations in Chattanooga with the biggest impact on the outdoor life.
Wild Trails was nominated for the Club Award for our work protecting and preserving trails — many of the same trails where SYC hosts programs.
