The first edition of the Thunder Rock 100, part of the Wild Trails Race Series, wrapped up successfully this weekend.
Just before 6 a.m. on Saturday, Ryan Smith of Boulder, CO, crossed the finish line to win in 17:47:55.
Second-place finisher Nick Lewis wrote a blog describing his experience. Among the highlights is this conversation with a fisherman:
Me: Brown Trout?
Fisherman: Yep. How far you goin’?
Me: 100 miles
Fisherman: Son, that’s the biggest sh*t I’ve stepped in all day.
Me: Throw straight!
No bull: It takes something special to run 100 miles. Read more about Nick\’s experience here.
Congratulations to all the runners, and thank you for signing up: Wild Trails greatly appreciates your support!
