Friends of Cloudland Canyon benefits from Wild Trails gift

FOCCSP

Wild Trails recently donated $500 to Friends of Cloudland Canyon State Park from the proceeds of the 2013 Lookout Mountain 50 Mile Trail Race.

Tom Pounds, President of FOCCSP, wrote in an email to Wild Trails how they plan to use the donation:

\”We are in the design stage of building a bridge across Bear Creek so that the Bear Creek trail will be open 365 days a year.  We will dedicate the $500 donation into the Bear Creek Bridge fund.

We have engineering designs and some of the required construction materials to build the bridge and we are in the process of obtaining funding so that we can begin to build the bridge this calendar year.\”
