The organization Wild Trails has announced the construction of another twelve miles of the Cumberland Trail in the upper North Chickamauga Creek area. According to Wild Trails Director Randy Whorton the new section of trail is not yet open to the public, as construction access is currently through private property. He expects the Hall Road trailhead will be built in February, afterward which the work will be moved there, with the trail open as an out and back hike.
